Meckatzer Löwenbräu is a brewery in Meckatz, a district of Heimenkirch in the Bavarian district of Lindau, whose roots date back to 1738. The Sonntagsbier, the Meckatzer Weiß-Gold, enjoys particular renown and popularity.

The New Glarus Brewing Company was founded in 1993. Its incredibly tasty beer is sold ‘only in Wisconsin’. If you’re ever near New Glarus, do take the time to visit the brewery, situated on a hill on the southern edge of the village.
